Customer Service Representative
Rebecca Black
Rebecca Black was born in Austin, Texas, and raised in Portland, Texas. She graduated from Gregory-Portland High School in 1989. She was a member of the Business Professionals of American organization her senior year and won first place in area competition and first place in regional competition on the Entrepreneurial Team. Her other favorite extra-curricular activity in high school was theater.

She attended Texas A&M University Corpus Christi to study business and graduated in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. She went back to college in 1996 at Texas A&M Kingsville, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Interior Merchandising in 1999. In 2000, she began working as a Personal Lines Account Manager at Swantner & Gordon in Portland, Texas.

In 2005, she became actively involved in American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. She was the Event Chair for the Gregory-Portland Relay for Life for seven years. She oversaw all of the other committees to ensure they had what they needed for a successful event each year.
In 2014, Rebecca took a leap of faith, relocating to Austin to be closer to her family and moving into the Commercial Lines side of Property & Casualty. She joined the LIS team in 2016.
Rebecca enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
